Please be specific. There is no plugin called alias_ldap or alias_plugin. Word 'alias' (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=alias) means assumed name. Definition is unclear. It can be anything. Different name used in login, ability to set alternative email addresses in qmail-ldap, ability to set multiple identities in personal information. If you are talking about setting multiple names and email addresses used in from: field when composing emails, it is standard SquirrelMail core option. Not a plugin. Option is turned off, if SquirrelMail configuration restricts user's ability to change from: address. When you go to car mechanic and want to change your car's tires, you don't ask for gum or rubber.
