I have squirrel 1.4.4 running on solaris 9 with no problems. For PW change
you have to use the right plugin and the correct demon (depending on your
mail system). I use UW imap on solaris (ok it's slow but i only have 2
mailboxes *g*) und no change-pw plugin.

Roland.

slow?

hmm. I have Squirrelmail 1.4.6 running on Solaris 9 with Apache 2.0.54 and php 4.4.2 on an E250 with gobs of other stuff going on (sendmail, uw-imap, wiki, majordomo, mysql, samba, lpsched, etc.) with over 1000 users and over 12000 logins a day to pop/imap and over 42000 mail messages a day (when we're not getting dumped on).

Squirrelmail is quite responsive.
