I am using centos 5.1
httpd-2.2.3-11.el5_1.centos.3
squirrelmail-1.4.8-4.0.1.el5.centos.2
after using for sometime, there are numerous httpd close_wait (netstat -a|grep
http). Then, the httpd become not responding at all

tcp 1 0 ::ffff:192.1.254.62:http ::ffff:216.19.89.:slingshot CLOSE_WAIT
tcp 1 0 ::ffff:192.1.254.62:http ::ffff:216.19.89:bcs-broker CLOSE_WAIT
A reload of httpd is required to clean all "close_wait" connections and become
normal
All connections are related to squirrelmail.
According to man page of netstat, close_wait means the remote side is closed
but waiting for local application to terminate.
Pls kindly advise.
