Check your SquirrelMail configuration and user preferences. Cyrus uses different namespace. In Cyrus all personal folders use INBOX prefix. Set your "Base Sent Folder" in "Folder Preferences" to INBOX.Sent. I think you have user preferences from some older setup. User should be unable to set base sent folder to 'Sent' in default Cyrus setup.
