This is quite common. If you ask them, or look through their sent mail for the 
past few months you're almost guaranteed to find that they sent their username 
and password in response to a phishing attempt. It probably claimed to be from 
your support or helpdesk saying that they needed to do so in order to keep 
their account active or something like that.
