The answer to your question is already given on that page:

"Unfortunately, you cannot run both the 1.x and 2.x versions of
Compatibility at the same time..."

I think I hacked File Manager to work with Compatibility 2.x but I
didn't test it very much.  If you want me to send you what I have, you
can ask me off list.
