well after months involving me learning to set up a server (coz i
had to have a staging server i had rights to to try out this sort
of gizmo verses an imap client), qmail, ezmlm, vpopmail, courier-
imap, sqwebmail... etc -- the folks i work for decided to go with
a seperate beefy mail server and imap, not nfs mounts. that makes
everything way easier for me alla sudden, but dang i've done a lot
of work on this stuff & my server's gonna do sqwebmail. i got a
great system together for stripping the html templates & adding
your own, and pretty much got a handle on nailing thae horrible
yellow & pinks, etc from the source, but in the end was working on
a wrapper to just take whatever sqwebmail pumps out & strip all
the formatting off it & replace it altogether. not even close to
done, but thought i'd report in, now i must wander off and focus
on imap clients, but my little server's become dear to me and one
day shall return, wrapper in hand...
i never did figure out why my sender gets mangled from time to
time (even before i started playing with the formatting).
