I don't know, but certainly other users on the list have reported similar
problems.

One solution suggested by these users is to recompile without authdaemond,
which is reported to work.

I don't think we'll get to the bottom of the problem until we get someone
who experiences it, *and* who understands a little about C programming and
debugging and is prepared to spend some time working out what's happening.
