I am not sure if this problem is being caused by qmail or Courier IMAP, I
tried qmail, and someone there thought it could be sqwebmail, so here I go.

Configuration:
  - P4 Custom Built Server
  - 512 MB
  - 3Ware Escalade 7500 configured with Raid-5 array
  - RedHat 7.2
  - qmail 1.0.3
  - Courier IMAP 1.7.3
  - Sqwebmail 3.5.3

Problem:
Something in our mail server setup is causing the sent items to archive
about every 5 weeks or so. It is disruptive to my end users and I want to
make it stop, but am unsure of what program is doing it. Knowing what
program is doing it would really help me figure out where to look. I
suspect something server side, but have been unable to catch it in the act,
so I have not been able to rule out client side. Here is what happens

About once ever 4-5 weeks or so, everything in the ~/Maildir/.Sent is copied
to ~/Maildir/.Sent.2003.11-Nov (as an example each month changes the date
part) and a new, empty ~/Maildir/.Sent is created.

How can I make this stop?

Thx
Kevin Fries
