I'm afraid that I do not use the ispell feature with my installation of sqwebmail. So I can't help you at all.

Except to say that...

You should post your question to the current sqwebmail list, instead of this one -- which has been dead for months.

The current list address is:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

You can subscribe to that list from here:

http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-sqwebmail

They should be able to help you more over there. Good luck with your question.

hi,
I installed sqwebmail 5.0.0 with ispell on Linux (with qmail, vpopmail etc). I use german templates from http://www.4e4.de/internet.html (the 4.0.7 work fine on 5.0.0).
I used ISPELLDICT with german, deutsch, swiss but there is always the same problem, words with umlauts () are not recognized by ispell within sqwebmail and the proposed words have strange umlauts like u" for . I tried to use ISPELLDICT with something like german -T latin1 (on the keyboard everything works fine with ispell -d german -T latin1). That didnt help in sqwebmail but the mail encoding changed from utf-8 to latin1... so has anybody solved this, or knows that there is no solution or do I have to dig in deeper in the code and ispell etc.

thanks for any help
andrej
