I have had the same experiences that other people have reported with
authvchkpw not working against MySQL in the 0.99 release. There is one
symptom that I've seen though that I haven't seen anyone else report.
After compiling and installing the 0.99 I of course tested my new setup
and didn't seem to have any trouble getting in.
Then I received reports through other means from one of my users that
they were having trouble accessing the webmail facility. I found this
weird, since mine was working find. I then found that those who were
accessing it entering only a name and no domain in the username field
(using a default domain), could still access the webmail facility, and
people who needed to enter their name including the domain would fail.

Because I'm developing an extranet that also uses MySQL I'm running
MySQL in logging mode and decided to do a tail -f on the MySQL log to
see what happens when I authenticate as a user with and without domain.

MySQL look OK, but somehow it doesn't work. Also, using POP3 people are
having no problem authenticating.

On another issue alltogether: can it be arranged that make install
doesn't overwrite the HTML templates if they already exist? I lost all
my translated and customized stuff because of this.
