Sam (or any other helpful soul),

When sqwebmail moves stuff from a new directory to a cur directory it
seems to update stuff in a number of admin files. If other software
comes along and moves stuff from new to cur, how muddled up could
sqwebmail get? To be a little more specific, I am implementing a UMS
type of system. I want both my IVR and sqwebmail to be able to freely
access messages in the same Maildirs. What do I have to do to ensure
they play nicely together? Should I be using some chunk of sqwebmail
within my IVR software, to ensure the two sides take compatible actions?

On a related issue. There seem to be very few mail/MIME handling
libraries. There seem to be none which are comprehensive, free and
standalone. The libraries buried inside sqwebmail seem to meet two out
of three conditions. It there any effort underway to break out the
RFC822 and RFC2045 code within sqwebmail as stand-alone libraries, and
promote them to a wider audience. I feel there is a genuine demand.

Regards,
Steve
