cannot compile 1.0.2 (gdbm)

Hi the configure script for sqwebmail tells me the following checking for gdbm_open in -lgdbm... no checking for gdbm_open... no configure: error: Cannot find either the gdbm or the db library.   [files/sqwebmail-1.0.2]# rpm -q gdbm gdbm-1.8.0-3 gdbm-devel-1.8.0-3 Please advise!   thanks
