attachments in sqwebmail

time for a total newbie question here. I just installed sqwebmail 10 mins ago, to test it out but cannot seem to get the attachments to work. browsing and upload _seem_ to work (I can verify verify this by downloading the mail using a pop3 client and opening the attachment) but when previewing from withing sqwebmail I get browser errors.   this is the exact error message I am getting http://gray.ballarat.net.au/neomail/sqweb-error.gif   it only does it when I try to preview excell files. the text files I have tried both worked OK. Is this a mime problem perhaps.
