I thought most quota systems had both a hard quota limit and a soft
quota? If this is the case, when the quota reaches the soft quota
limit an alert email could be sent or something which reminds the user
to delete messages, etc... Of course, this doesn't prevent them from
reaching the hard quota (we all know how often people listen to
suggestions). But maybe if the warning is severe enough it will get
through to them. In fact, maybe you could script something up that
does not allow them to receive email once the soft limit is reached
(not bounce mail, but queue it until they delete some etc...
Just some ideas, toss them out if they don't apply. :-)
