Hello!
I can't seem to get webmail to authenticate. from
the Courier-MTA package, I have *everything else* running beutifully. I
like this package, it does what I tell it to. I've successfully migrated to
Maildirs from spool, and I can login via POP3 or IMAP and can relay from the
network I want to, etc. However, sqwebamil refuses to authenticate. I'd
prefer to have it authenticate via PAM the same way the rest of my system
does. When I look at my syslog, it complains like this after trying to
login from the webmail interface:
pwdb_chkpwd[611]: password not found
So, it's obviously not even hitting PAM. Now I've
recompiled the webmail package several times with different options, once even
explicitly disallowing all authentication methods BUT PAM, and also specifying
--enable-webpass=no, but it still is trying to auth against pwdb.
What have I missed? What am I doing
wrong? Advice and insight is very much welcome! I've been fighting this
thing for just over 12 hours and could use some fresh ideas.
Thanks in advance.
