I think I almost have it working on my FreeBSD box running qmail.
I can log in using basic system account and password.
I am trying to use userdb and virtual domains.
I have the following 2 lines in my /etc/userdb
[EMAIL PROTECTED]      shell=/usr/local/bin/bash|gecos=Valerio
Romano|home=/home/vlove|uid=1001|systempw=$1$Uj$o74v5hyu1o5VQFpbaiatf/|gid=1000

1001=   vlove

I ran makeuserdb as root.
I still cannot log in with [EMAIL PROTECTED] and the password I made with
./userdbpw |userdb vlove set systempw

Do I have to hup something? Do I need some auth daemon running? Is the
line in my /etc/userdb wrong? Can someone send me one of their
functioning lines maybe? I got that line from running pw2userdb and then
adding a domain name after my username.

Thanks for the help,

Valerio Romano
