We just received a call from a client that could log in via POP and IMAP but not via sqwebmail. We are using authvchkpw w/ cdb authentication. I verified that she was correct. We are not using sqwebmail-pass and I made sure that there was not an old sqwebmail-pass file in her home directory. I was finally able to fix it by using the vpopmail commands to set her password to the same password she was already using. After that, it worked fine via POP and sqwebmail. All I can figure is that there was something odd about her entry in the vpasswd file. Here's the original entry (prior to resetting the password) that worked with POP but not sqweb: anneg:;qi43pg.4zifE:1:0:anneg:/var/vpopmail/domains/bitstream.net/0/anneg:NOQUOTA And here is the entry after I ran the vpasswd command to set her password again: anneg:qbDLdiS1iTRHo:1:0:anneg:/var/vpopmail/domains/bitstream.net/0/anneg:NOQUOTA As you can see, the only difference between the two is that the second one encrypted the password with a different salt. Any thoughts as to why this would be causing a problem? Ben -- Ben Beuchler There is no spoon. [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- The Matrix
