What Sam meant by his inscrutable reply was:

        Since sqwebmail is working,

        and qmail/vpopmail is not working,

and this is the sqwebmail mailing list,

we will assume that you were not going to use the sqwebmail
mailing list to talk about your problems with a different
        program than sqwebmail.

So then, you are merely informing the list of the good news
that sqwebmail works, even when qmail/vpopmail doesn't.

I remember having this problem when I was using qmail/vpopmail but it
was so long ago that I forget what it was and what fixed it.
Something about permissions and ownership, I think.

Do this. Go to the website "www.google.com". Now, in the search box,
type the following text:

        vpopmail aack child crashed

Press the "Search" button.

Visit the first twenty or so webpages returned.

If you don't find your answer, then email me (or better yet, join the
vpopmail mailing list) and ask for help.
