I think the answer to this problem is you should go to sqwebmail and
authlib subdirectories and edit the Makefile files in there.
You should find LDFLAGS and add
-L/usr/local/lib/mysql -lmysqlclient
Well up there you should have path to your mysql libraries. In freebsd it
comes like that I wrote automagicly.
