This is definately a question for the Qmail list but:

check to make sure the directory exists

make sure the permissions on the directory are the same as that specified in
the users/assign file

if your not using users/assign, make sure perms are correct for that user.

Either way, use some common sense to find the solution. If you had done all
this, you should have included that in your message. Make sure to include it
in the message you send to the Qmail list.
