Well.... it seems my brian finally woke up. I looked at the ps display again and found that authdaemond was starting only the authdaemond.pgsql deamon, and since i wanted it to use authvchkpw, it should have been stating the authdaemond.plain daemon instead. I simply forced the script to start only .plain and nothing else and swqebmail now works!!
