The whole purpose of authdaemond is to maintain a long term persistent 
connection to the database, in order to eliminate the overhead of setting up 
and tearing down a connection for every authentication request. 

Right now, the ldap connection is kept open indefinitely.  If the server 
forcibly disconnects the client, the client will reconnect a couple of 
minutes later.
