I want to use Sqwebmail for the simplest of things. I have a Maildir mailbox
on my local machine and am simply looking for a GUI email client to read the
messages and attachments.

I went thru the default installation and when I attempt to login, I receive
"Invalid User ID or Password".

Since I'm not running a POP server or anything, I figured that using authpwd
would be the simplest thing.

I have tried some additional things, based on reading thru this mailing list,
such as modifying the authdaemonrc file to disable all authentication modules
other than authpwd.

I have also tried modifying the authdaemond so that authdaemon.plain runs
(instead of authdaemon.pgsql, which ran after the default installation).

However, it still does not like my user name or password.

I noticed the following in the INSTALL file:
"Most of these authentication modules have a corresponding
configuration file that define various parameters (server location,
field names, etc). After installation you will need to open their
configuration files, and follow the instructions in the configuration
   file."

I have not been able to find any of the authentication module configuration
files, so maybe that is my problem ?

Or do I have to build Sqwebmail, disabling all authentication modules other
than authpwd ? (according to INSTALL, I should not have to do this).

Or maybe I am not entering the username correctly ? This is just a local
user, so I am just using the name/password which I use for the user in the OS
(which is Linux).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Charlie
