SqWebMail gurus,

While on travel I access my (usual) POP mail from my ISP over the web via
MS Internet Explorer and SqWebMail. All is good until I want to display or
download attachments to the incoming email. However, the display and
download 'links' provided in the SqWebMail 'window' do not work(*) --
whether listed as ',doc' files, as '.pdf' files, as '.gif' files, etc.
Is this bahavior a SqWebMail limitation, or a set-up issue with my browser,
or with my ISP?
Or do I need to configure a plug-in on my end to display attachment(s)?
{Suspect not the case, because I cannot even download the attachments.}
All machines I have used have been (to my knowledge) Windows-based,
including NT4.0 SP6; Win95, Win98.

This behavior has been persistent from multiple remote sites [private
homes; libraries; internet 'cafes'] , using various versions of Internet
Explorer, Compuseve Browser, and probably others. In many cases, I would
not have the option of installing new software or even changing browser
settings -- but it depends upon how the 'guest' account is set up.

(*) but, I have discovered that in at least one case I could douwnload but
not display a 'pdf' attachment when the browser is Netscape 4.72; however
most 'public' sites will have IE only.

                       Suggestions please.
                       Thanks,
                       -Fred Gagnon-
