I have written a couple of scripts to aid in translating the sqwebmail HTML templates.
Here is the URL: http://www.ping.de/~fdc/scripts/hgettext/hgettext-0.01.tar.gz and here ist the README: This package is designed to help with the translation of web pages. It was originally written for use with the HTML templates used by sqwebmail (http://www.inter7.com/sqwebmail/), but it may also be useful in other contexts. Two scripts are provided: hgettext - extracts the strings that will need to be translated, hputtext - inserts the translated strings back into the pages. The strings are stored in a .po file, which is the format used by GNU (and POSIX) gettext. Tools are available for manipulating these files: the msg* programs that come with gettext and modes for the emacs and vi editors. Documentation is embedded in the scripts and can be viewed with perldoc hgettext perldoc hputtext These perl modules are required by the hgettext package: HTML::Parser, Locale::PO, Text::Wrap in addition to the standard modules: Getopt::Long, IO::File, POSIX -- Frank Cringle, [EMAIL PROTECTED] voice: (+49 7745) 928759; fax: 928761
