Not necessarily, there are times that I have read stuff over and over completly missing what I need to find out. Sure in my case it could mean that senility is creeping in, but I wouldn't be surprised if others suffer from a similar affliction.
Besides, the original postee was not pointed to the documentation, he asked a question that was answered with one word.
I joined the list to get many questions answered about sqwebmail, the only thing I have requested so far was the location of the archives. Lets face it the archives are not the easiest to find, the documentation
is laid out in a manner that when a problem occurs perhaps months after installation, one may skip the actual installation process in their attempt to find a solution.
I prefer to search mail list archives for answers to questions after I have waded through the supplied documentation. I find it frustrating to see results like the "yes" which was posted in response to the original postee's question. If the response also included, "This is a pre-compile configuration option, and can be found in "INSTALL"", I would have found that at least was helpful.
Terry...
The documentation is there, and should be consulted. Pointing someone to the documentation IS the correct answer. If someone states that they don't understand the documentation, and/or shows where they tried and are not understanding, THEN you point out more info- but usually THIS question is in the archives and documentation as well.
