[sqwebmail] s_connect() failed:

Hi  All,
is any body  who can point me to the rihgt direction 
we have 
FreeBSD 4.7
Qmail-1.03
vpopmail 5.3.9
sqwebmail  3.3.7
after install wqwebmail  via ports like
make 
make install
I can call the sqwebmail-login-page but I'm not able to login.
The error mess is 
"authdaemon: s_connect() failed: Operation timed out"
so I guess I have to change some in Makefile, correct ?
