Hi list!

I'm very new to SqWebMail, I have been evaluating several free webmail
programs for a while now. SqWebmail looks very complete and I'm thinking
about choosing it. However, there are a few things which I am not too
sure about and haven't been able to find in any documentation. I'd
appreciate any help you could give me. My questions are as follows:

1) From what I have seen, SqWebMail seems tied to using Unix system
users. Is this the case? The mail system I'm using has the users defined
in a MySQL database and they are not proper system users, (ie there is
no GID/UID/home directory). I notice in the configuration in authmysqlrc
that uid, gid and home directory are all compulsory. Are they actually
needed or can I just override the SQL statement (in the
MYSQL_SELECT_CLAUSE) and hardcode uid, gid, home to be any value?

2) Because these users aren't proper system users, they don't have a
home directory. Because of this, the Maildirs are stored on another
server to the one running SqWebMail, and are organised by the path:
<domain>/<1>/<2>/<3>/<username>/Maildir
where 1,2,3 are the first 3 letters of the username. Is it possible to
set up SqWebMail for a system like this, which is on a separate server?

Many thanks for reading!
Andrew
