I am using SqWebmail 3.5.1 with authmysql authentication. I create the path to the virtual user's Maildir by using some fancy sql to generate the path from the user's name and domain address, as entered by them in the login box.
The users can come from a large variety of domains, and domain name is actually part of the path to the Maildir. Anyway, what I have only just realised (stupid me!), is that once in Sqwebmail, the user is reported at the top right of the screen as "[EMAIL PROTECTED]". Also (and this is the big one!), when writing an email, the "from address" is also "[EMAIL PROTECTED]". This to me doesn't seem to be correct. Shouldn't both these cases be "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", just as they entered in the login box? Is this a setting that can be changed? Setting a default domain won't really do in this case. Although better than just "hostname", it will only work for a small percentage of users since there are so many virtual users and domains. Any help is gratefully received. Regards, Andrew
