Neither. I haven't experienced that behavior at all with vpopmail 5.2.1 and the versions of sqwebmail with the new logindomainlist functionality. (I am the author of the new logindomainlist functionality, BTW.) Is the vpopmail default domain working for programs like vuserinfo? Could we have a look at your logindomainlist file?
