[sqwebmail] authlib - vchkpw issue

I am having issues with webmail authentication. I am running sqwebmail
3.5.3, vpopmail 5.2.1. I am using authdaemond.plain which I am restarting
under cron every 3 minutes because a couple of users can get authenticated
and then no one get authenticated and sometimes it is intermittent. any
ideas to debug this ? Please note that pop(110) can authenticate fine every
time.
(would appreciate if help is more of an advanced adminstrator level and not
on the developer level)
