Thanks for the help. It is working fine now with
vpopmail.
I have some other doubts:
1. I have installed vqmailadmin. I have to provide
access of this to domain owners. But i want to restrict the no. of email
id/aliases they can create.
2. How can we assign different mail quotas size
& limit on attachment size for different mail ids/domains.

As Brian said, you cannot use authmod and vpopmail
together. You will have to choose between system or virtual
accounts. I could be mistaken, but so far all issues point to
incompatibility due to reported vpopmail bugs. I've been able to work
around it like many others, but I only use virtual domains, not system
accounts.

Are you using vpopmail or system accounts or both?
If both, I'm not sure I know how to help. If you are using vpopmail,
you need to recompile with the proper config options. It also sounds
like you need to the docs provided with the source.

I am using qmail as my MTA on a Redhat
linux 7.1.
i have run ./configure directly(i.e. with
default options).
I suspect that their is something wrong in
my configuration files, bcoz i have also installed vpopmail and created
some mail accounts with vqmailadmin.
but those users are also not authenticated
by sqwebmail.
Plz make it clear what else i need to tell
you.

Did you start the auth daemon? Can you provide
a little more information about your configuration? It will only
