That's clearly not correct.

POP3 daemon: maybe you are using qmail-pop3d. Maybe you are using
courier-imap's pop3d. Maybe you are using something else. It's important to
know which software you are running!

Database: you are using something which stores usernames and passwords.
Probably something which vpopmail talks to. Maybe just /etc/passwd, but
that's still a database.

I don't see a record of what O/S you are using.

So, guessing blindly, I'd say that you should look in /var/log/maillog.

If you are using courier-imap's pop3d, then you can change DEBUG_LOGIN=0 to
DEBUG_LOGIN=2 in the configuration file 'pop3d' and it will log all
usernames and passwords. I don't think there is an equivalent mechanism for
sqwebmail.

Note that you are using an old and broken version of libvpopmail which will
*fail to authenticate* periodically if you are using authdaemon. Either
upgrade to the latest development snapshot of vpopmail and recompile, or
recompile sqwebmail using ./configure --without-authdaemon
