I would suggest you read the RFCs on MIME and understand the difference between Content-Type (what it is and what can be used to open it) and Content-Disposition (filename to save it as). Then tell whoever is sending you these things to fix his broken mail client or stop renaming Word files to .dat before attaching them. -- Paul Allen Softflare Support
