Thanks for the input. While your solution description was not the exact
solution to my problem, it did point me in the right direction. The GDBM
library is installed in /usr/lib; however, I found that the file gdbm.h was
missing from my system entirely. After a little more googling, I found out
that gdbm.h is in the gdbm-devel package; once I downloaded and installed
gdbm-devel, the config script stopped barfing on me.Cheers, Jason
