Can you find out what path your sqwebmail CGI is looking for the authdaemon
socket, by typing

# strings /path/to/cgi-bin/sqwebmail | grep /socket

Then you can check that this socket exists (it should be created when
authdaemond starts), and if so you can test it using the perl script at
http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg06706.html

If you have built both courier-imap and sqwebmail, then usually you have two
sets of authdaemons which need to be started (unless you pass options to
./configure to explicitly make them use the same socket)

The path to authdaemond which you have is unusual - did you build this from
ports? If som what version of sqwebmail is it? You might be better off
building a fresh copy from source at
http://www.courier-mta.org/download.php#sqwebmail

Brian.
