A few days ago I asked if anyone else was getting corruption in email address's when using sqwebmail 4.02. Brian Candler was good enough to try and help out, since then I seem to have got "out of the loop" and have not managed to cure the problem.
So this is what happens, when I compose a message in sqwebmail and send it the return name (of from address name) part of the address gets corrupted, the domain part of the name is ok. example: @40000000406ad46537409994 new msg 52224 >>> >@40000000406ad4653740b104 info msg 52224: bytes 378 from Corrupted name --> >>> ><[EMAIL PROTECTED]@[EMAIL PROTECTED]> qp 8261 uid 89 >>> >@40000000406ad466010aa7ac starting delivery 52: msg 52224 to remote >>> >[EMAIL PROTECTED] >>> >@40000000406ad466010abf1c status: local 0/10 remote 1/20 >>> >@40000000406ad466084f5b84 delivery 52: success: >>> >192.168.1.1_accepted_message./Re >>> >mote_host_said:_250_Roger/ >>> >@40000000406ad466084f76dc status: local 0/10 remote 0/20 >>> >@40000000406ad466084f7eac end msg 52224 >>> > This happens only from sqwebmail. We have other clients using courier-imap 3.02 and squirrelmail 1.5.0 and they are fine. sqwebmail v 3.3.7. is ok too. I have tried diverting the output from sendit.sh and that too shows the corruption, indicating definatly a sqwebmail issue. Bellow are all the relevant software versions (i think!), any one any ideas. Some people seems to be mentioning various options to do with CAHRSET's etc - I have tried these - no difference. Brian did ask if the display name was ok, it was. my seetings: configure options./configure --disable-autorenamesent\ --without-authdaemon \ --with-authvchkpw \ --enable-unicode=iso-8859-1,utf-8 authmodulelist is [EMAIL PROTECTED] sqwebmail]# more authmodulelist authcustom authcram authuserdb authvchkpw authldap authpam vpopmail-5.4.0 - the libvpopmail was compiled from this version of vpopmal not using any authentication other than authvchkpw Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/2.96/specs gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-98) Linux version 2.4.7-10 ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-98)) #1 Thu Sep 6 17:27:27 EDT 2001
