Well, if it's a squirrelmail question, then it belongs on the squirrelmail
list.

But as far as I'm aware, squirrelmail does not use vpopmail at all.
squirrelmail talks IMAP to the mailserver, and the mailserver in turn
performs the authentication (using vpopmail, or whatever).

You mean
   squirrelmail -> bincimap -> vchkpw  ?

Then either you've entered the wrong username/password in squirrelmail, or
bincimap is not authenticating correctly. Use telnet to port 143.

But bincimap problems don't belong here either. This is the mailing list for
discussing a particular software package called "sqwebmail". It has no
connection with squirrelmail, apart from the characters "sq", "e" and
"mail".
