You haven't attached the valgrind output.
I tested with the example you provided at:

and I could not spot any leak after sending thousands of requests.
I am not a Lua expert to comment on others libs/packages/approaches. There can
be libs out there in the Lua world that can leak, it is not kamailio's role to
fix them. Use kamailio with lua and functions exported by kamailio to lua, only
then if there is a leak can be fixed in kamailio.
