Thank you for pointing me to the transforms - I was not familiar with those.
This seems like a very simple workaround, so I will close the issue once I am
able to try the solution out.
May I suggest updating the documentation for `$msg(attr)`, `$mb` (and maybe
others that I don't know about) to warn about this issue and provide the
workaround using transforms?
