Yeah i believe that would look like a good use with the additional arguments.
You can find an example in
https://github.com/kamailio/kamailio/blob/3c6f8369c898a85b6b3dd7223e4729f277c02b5e/cmake/aarch64-toolchain.cmake#L4
which set's not only the system processor and name but also the compilers to
use.
Also a good example is found in https://stackoverflow.com/a/28047073. Give it a
try and can help more if it's needed.
