Indeed this "solution" was documented as being fragile as it follows a glibc
internal implementation quirk. Subsequent to this stop gap (at least for glibc
based distros), @miconda has implemented a single process-RPC mode of OpenSSL
mod_tls that should work for musl.
In the long run that is the correct solution based on the trajectory of OpenSSL
3.x and soon 4.
An alternative is to look at mod-tls_wolfssl.
