No, they are only in 6.1 and devel branches.
They were introduced during the last development cycle to move to standardised
(libc) functions for atomic operations (stdatomic) and use a better locking
mechanism for ARM (iirc, pthread instead of spin-locks, the later would consume
CPU while waiting).
