It seems that now updating contacts without instance will not work anymore.
There is a condition in db_update_ucontact_instance() filtering on instance:

+ LM_ERR("updating record in database failed - empty instance\n");
+ return -1;
+ }
</code>
I guess it has to be on instance if instance exists, otherwise to be done old
way with address.
