If you are not sure how to get SCTP working in your Kamailio you can reference

Then configure multihoming within your network.

Personally, I would setup and test the multi-homing first before adding the 
module to confirm it works and the logic does what you need it to do. In my 
experience I have used the source address groups against the address.list for 
inbound and a dispatcher.list for outbound to route traffic.

Your mileage may vary on how easy/complex your setup/logic is.
