Check the syslog file for error messages, it can provide further leads. Btw, 5.6.x series is out of maintenance for long time, you should upgrade to 6.0.x or 5.8.x. Furthermore, 5.6.0 is probably the least recommended to run even in the 5.6.x series, there were a couple of minor releases fixing bugs in that branch.
