I am also curious on this topic, if there is another way than $mb which can be 
quite tedious to get right since you have to add it not only to route {} but 
also request_route, reply_route etc.

It would be nice if there was something similar to sip_trace that captures and 
logs all messages.

doesn't $mb variable works for you?

you can call it like:
