Job Description: They’re developing a cost of product revaluation tool in SharePoint in order to set product costs and perform profit analysis for their sales force which will go out to 10K accounts. It will monitor cost of product during cost development and revaluation in order to set product prices. This will allow them to perform profit analysis. It will do future modeling to determine tweaks at their dealerships. At first it will only go out to the top 100/200 accounts. They will go live with this in April 2011 and then need 2/3 months of support after that. They have a BA to write up the cases. They will then take those specs to develop the code. They have an architect and a lead developer that will manage these developers putting together the data model. They are in need of 2 head down coders. If the person can’t take the specs given to them and do exactly what is asked w/o incorporating their own tweaking to write the code they will not make it and get cut. Their code will need to pass unit testing once the developer passes it back to them. If it doesn’t they get replaced. This is the 2nd time they will be trying to complete this project, they scrapped everything done the first time and need to get it right this time. The scope has been rewritten and the old one made “illegal to even look at internally”. They have been documenting the process for 4/5 months up to today.
