UAT Coordinator Job Description



Develops & implements procedures for maintaining and or enhancing the
integrity of systems applications. Ensures the existence of development and
service standards. Ensures that requirements are clearly defined and
testable.  Responsible for the management and execution of detailed UAT test
plans and scripts to verify software functionality and adherence to business
requirements. Execution of scripts will include progress reporting, defect
tracking and risk assessments. May be responsible for the maintenance,
training, and information communications for tools used to support the
product development process. Additionally, this resource should demonstrate
the ability to work closely with users to meet their requirements.
Coordinate with the QA test lead assigned, Project Manager, Business
Analysts, Operations, Product Support and Development to deliver a platform
for the users to conduct UAT.



Job responsibilities include the following:





1.            Manage the entire UAT lifecycle of assigned projects, working
closely with the users, PM, QA, BSM

and Developers.

2.            Administer Quality Center project with the addition of the UAT
user population.

Educate users on the proper use and workflow within Quality Center.

3.            Work with the business users to have them submit approved UAT
test cases.

4.            Standardize the UAT test cases

5.            Coordinate with Project team to set up the UAT environment and
execute the necessary jobs to

prep the environment for UAT

6.            Report enhancements suggested by the users during UAT to the
PM and BSM.

7.            Train and guide users to reports defects and enhancement
requests into the defect tracking

system and results reporting for assigned projects.

8.            Schedule and conduct UAT Coordination sessions with the
business, production support leads and release management prior to the start
of UAT execution (all in scope CHGs/ITQs).

9.            Coordinate/perform UAT test activities as well Identify the
test execution steps that will require support from the production support
team (workflow execution, back-end data updates, etc.)

10.          Review and ensure the business testers document an overall UAT
Test Plan and Execution Strategy (scope, data prep, risks, etc.)

11.          Review the business tester’s UAT Test Scripts. Provide feedback
on the scripts regarding the comprehensive and effective coverage of
functionality described in the FDR and TDR documentation.

12.          Ensure the business testers understand that they need to create
all test accounts in Siebel required for test execution (after-market and
OEM)  If a test script does not specifically require using legacy accounts,
identifying existing accounts in the UAT environment is not recommended.
Existing accounts typically belong to other testers and using the accounts
may impact their expected results.

13.          Coordinate with the business to assign radio capabilities and
offers to test radio IDs (as required). Note: Available radio IDs checked
out from eRoom do not have radio capabilities or offers assigned. Radio
capabilities and offers are assigned by processing files through GIS/SCEMS.

14.          Run and review Quality Center Reports to verify that each
tester validates all test script expected results and document the actual
results in Quality Center for audited purposes.

15.          Coordinate with the business to document all defects identified
during testing in Quality Center and retest defect fixes provided by the
development team.

16.          Conduct daily defect status calls with production support
leads, development leads and release management to report status on
retesting fixed defects as well as provide additional information for
defects under investigation.

17.          Document enhancement requirements for future releases as change
requests in Remedy/ITQ.

18.          Request official sign-off on all UAT test scripts for each
assigned initiative in accordance with the Email Approval Procedures for
SDLC Documentation, (electronic signoff process).

19.          Coordinate and follow up as needed to ensure that tasks are
completed on schedule.



Job Requirements

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of five years solid combined BA/QA
experience

working on Web based applications, especially in the UAT arena. The ideal
candidate should have solid understanding of QA methodologies. This person
must have the ability to multitask on several date-sensitive projects,
effective

analysis and problem solving skills, very strong communication and
interpersonal skills, and be a collaborative team player.

Required Skills:

Project Management, QA Management, Testing Skills, Quality Center /Test
Director, HP Mercury Test Products, experience with UAT test coordination,
working with end User groups.
